What
You Should Know
About
Fantastic Sony LCDs!
•
OK! So
everyone can’t afford $32,999 for a brand new Sony Bravia
70-inch LCD TV, but ohhh, we can dream . . .
•
For that
kind of money, buyers get the largest LCD screen on the planet with
full high-def resolution
of 1,920
by 1,080 pixels! Luckily Sony makes plenty of smaller LCD models
which are a tiny bit more affordable.
•
Sony
doesn’t make Plasmas, but they sell so many Bravia LCDs they
are America's best selling big screen LCD TV manufacturer.
The
Top Eight Reasons Why
Sony
LCD is The Best!
•
Sony Bravia LCD TVs are the industry
leader in flat screen TV sales, image quality and performance.
There is little to criticize about Bravia’s brilliant color
image and stylish futuristic design.
•
Sony S Series is the
latest offering from the Sony Bravia line of high-performance LCD
TVs. This 46" LCD TV features the latest in Sony’s unique
technology. It delivers vivid and accurate colors along with wide
viewing angles and a blazing 8 ms. response
time.
• The Picture Quality of standard DVDs can
degrade (look worse) on large screens, but Sony's Bravia LCD
converts non-high def content to appear sharper for better viewing.
Sony credits picture quality and color enhancements to its Bravia
Engine Pro, their own video-processing system.
•
Sony claims a 178-degree
viewing angle on it’s latest LCD models, which is equal to or
better than that of leading Plasmas. The reality is something less
than that, since LCD screens usually lose picture quality when
viewed from the side. Sony engineers say they have tackled the
problem head-on in the new Bravias.
•
Sales of Sony Bravia LCDs have spiraled upward;
the market for high-def LCD televisions is growing as prices for
large screen TVs drop.
•
Top Of The Line Connectivity is built into the new
Bravia models, which feature a large number of input connections. These include a
HDMI connector for digital video and a 15-pin connector for IBM VGA
computers. There are connections for composite video, component
video, and S-Video, allowing you to run video games, DVD players,
PCs and high-def video players.
•
Bravias Feature An ATSC tuner that (when used with
an optional HDTV antenna) lets you receive free over-the-air
reception of HDTV broadcast
channels.
•
Sony’s WEGA Engine processes video
signals from cable, DVD, HDTV, VCRs and computers to deliver a more
realistic image. Signals can be converted into Wide Mode (16/9,
movie shaped), Wide Zoom, Full Mode, Zoom, Normal (4/3, regular TV
shaped) and Zoom Wide Mode (for PC).
